A SHORT INTRODUCTION TO GOONG & GARY

 

Goong, a Thai lady who has worked her whole life as an accountant in various businesses. She is also very devoted to her family whom she loves very much. Although she was quite busy with her career and family, she did hope to find the right guy one day. 

 

Gary has spent most of his life raising a family and working in the rail industry. He has been on a long journey to find the right lady to complete his life as well.

                                                                                             

Our story starts with a lucky connection made online in January of 2019. After a couple of weeks of planning, we set out on our first date. Things went well and many more dates followed. Perhaps the highlight being our skating date: this was Goong’s first time on skates – not something that is too popular in Thailand – but a prerequisite for marrying a Canadian. 

 

We had to put the romance on hold while Gary returned to Canada for a few months, but the separation made us both more sure that what we had was something special. In July, Goong came for her first ever trip to Canada, and Gary had a chance to play tour guide, showing her as many Canadian highlights as he could in a month. 

 

It was while driving from the airport in Toronto to our hotel that the big question slipped out. It wasn’t too romantic, and perhaps Goong felt a bit of pressure to say yes, just to avoid a big accident on the 401 – all part of Gary’s master plan. 

 

Once we decided we would get married and be together forever, the next step was to figure out how to best share this big day with the ones we love. We both want a very relaxed and fun gathering of good friends and family. We would prefer no gifts – please bring your heart and soul to celebrate with us!
